About Us

About Project SPEAK

Founded in 2020, Project SPEAK (Seeking Peace, Equity & Acceptance through Conversation) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering connection, empowerment, and social change through open dialogue and community support. At the heart of our mission is the belief that everyone deserves access to the resources, support, and information they need to thrive. We create opportunities for meaningful conversation and collaboration, helping individuals navigate personal and professional challenges while building stronger, more compassionate communities. Our programs serve diverse populations, from new teachers and young adults to isolated seniors and single parents. By addressing the unique needs of these groups, we strive to make a lasting impact through education, mentorship, social engagement, and cultural events.

Our Key Programs

At Project SPEAK, we understand that thriving is about more than just surviving—it's about feeling seen, heard, and valued. Our goal is to meet people where they are, provide tailored support, and empower them to make informed, healthy decisions for their futures. As we grow, we aim to expand our programs across the country, deepening our impact and helping more communities experience the power of connection and acceptance. Join us in creating a future where peace, equity, and acceptance are within reach for all.

Across the U.S., high teacher turnover rates, which reach up to 30% annually, directly undermine student achievement by disrupting learning environments and reducing access to experienced educators. There are 500,000+ fewer educators in the American public school systems post-pandemic. Meanwhile, over 40% of high school students lack effective post-high school planning support, contributing to uncertainty in their futures. Additionally, 28% of seasoned citizens (seniors) report feeling socially isolated, highlighting the deep impact of loneliness. These issues emphasize the urgent need for strong community connections, access to resources, and meaningful support systems to improve educational outcomes and overall well-being. Project SPEAK addresses these challenges and more by fostering mentorship, social connection, and access to critical resources and information. Join us in our quest to take on these challenges head on!
